OUT OF THE FRYING PAN INTO THE FIRE
Will begin soon after episode nine: Desperation is published.

Violence, selfishness, hatred and greed, whether for fame, solidarity or money or whatever, links us all up into something that we will regret.
The Captain to me was more than just that. It is about our trappings. It’s not easy to live your life without wanting to keep your attachments. It’s scary at times to go on or know that you must go on without the things that are important to you.
Captain Christopher Faust is a public servant looking to get out, but knows that there is no clean and easy way out. He feels that if he gives up his power, then he will risk being enslaved and ensnared into his captors will.
The Captain is already ensnared and recognizes it. The situation is one where he is directed to do work by powerful people within his own kind.
Most often the work is not so pleasant. In fact, dangerous and violent.
He serves and is a lawman within the vastness of space, the beauty and evil he plays within, he without any doubt or hesitation, money grabs to set up a nest egg. He wants a far away fortress, far away from encroachment, radicals and malcontents. Money will finance this dream of his. If only he could get away to enjoy it.
The dream disintegrates. For he knows and agrees that if he could walk away, he could no longer call himself The Captain.
